Elk Island National Park is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year, but this time of year, the park becomes a winter wonderland. Enjoy snowshoeing and cozy bonfires while looking out for wildlife. The park offers nighttime guided snowshoe and stargazing tours select Thursdays and Saturdays starting December 10th and continuing through to February 18th.  Pre-registration is required as capacity is limited. Elk Island National Park is under 30 minutes from our rentals in Fort Saskatchewan and about 40 minutes from our Downtown Edmonton rentals. 

Canyon Ski Resort is Alberta’s largest non-mountain resort. Here you’ll find over 80 acres of skiable terrain with 23 runs and 6 lifts. They have a vast snow-making system which covers 95% of the area making skiing possible early in the season. Visit Canyon Ski Resort for snowboarding, skiing, snowtubing, lessons, and ample space to relax with a rustic lodge, cafeteria, and cozy lounge. Canyon Ski Resort is just an hour and half from either our Southwest Edmonton rentals or our Northwest Calgary rentals.

Enjoy a day or weekend in Banff, just an hour and a half from our Northwest Calgary rentals. Banff is a beautiful area with breathtaking views of the incredible mountain landscape. Discover the history of Banff National Park with historical or wilderness tours, snowshoeing, or forest bathing. Or learn about the thermal water basin’s origins by visiting the unique Cave & Basin thermal springs.

Looking for something unique? Take the trek out to Kananaskis for some unforgettable tours. Here you can enjoy a breathtaking view from the sky in a helicopter tour or find a clue in a mystery clue solving tour.
